Appreciate you so much Rep @joanna_mcclinton — if you get the chance please stop in and see the women at SCI Cambridge Springs. Everytime we speak they ask us to invite you and others to come. We have called different staff over 30 times trying to start a collaboration to coordinate speakers and programs there. Did you know that DOC staff don’t have answering machines at the institutions? ....

1,452 mothers, daughters, sisters, wives , significant others are servicing a sentence at the State Correctional Institution at Muncy! Today, members of the #PaHouse showed up on a “holiday” to take care of serious business! I truly appreciate @morgan_cephas for leading this effort with me! Last year I went to #SCIMuncy for a #BlackHistory program alone and addressed the ladies, but this year it was important to me that I bring my colleagues especially the newest members! Thank you Representatives Jordan Harris, Sheryl Delozier, Kevin Boyle, Danilo Burgos, Mike Jones, Summer Lee, Sara Innomarato, Morgan Cephas and to our dynamic staff members who joined us too! The day began with a group of us met with the 21 and under population for lunch where we strategized with them on their next steps in life. Then we headed to the chapel for the legislative town hall and enjoyed the melodies of the Muncy Gospel Choir!
